Parental involvement and our PTA

We actively encourage parents to become involved with their children’s education. It is vital that there is good communication between home and school.

We have vetted parents who help us on a weekly basis accompanying classes swimming and on trips, looking after the library and making tea and coffee for events.

Parent Teacher Association
All parents are invited to become members of the PTA; the school has an enthusiastic and successful association. The PTA organise many social, educational and fundraising functions every year.

The school benefits greatly from the funds generated by such events. Recently funds were used to buy a range of equipment for the children such as a fitness trail, theatre lights and a P.A. system.

We hope you will play a full part in the PTA as it is central to the happy family atmosphere at Alexander Dickson Primary School.
