  • New School Library

    Sat 15 Oct 2022

We were delighted recently to invite the Education Minister to officially open our new PTA school library.

This project represents an investment in excess of £10k in our post-Covid reading provision.

We are extremely grateful to a number of key sponsors and supporters including the Department of Agriculture’s Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme, Crown Paints and Regency Carpets as well as volunteers who spent many hours painting, carpet fitting and putting up blinds!

Thank you to a very kind former pupil who donated 50 David Walliams books that he won in a competition.

Thank you to all those who supported PTA events which helped to finance this project too.

  • ADPS Kindness Postbox

    Thu 16 Dec 2021

At this time of year it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of Christmas that we lose sight of those in our community who may find Christmas a difficult time or may be feeling isolated, vulnerable or lonely after another very difficult year.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with Linking Generations Northern Ireland and Ballygowan Community to launch The Kindness Postbox. Over the last week our children have been filling it with cards, letters and crafts that will then be distributed amongst the community.

In yet another year when we can’t welcome the wider community into school to join in our Christmas celebrations we want them to know that we will be thinking of them over the holidays.

    Stay safe everyone!

  • New School Website for ADPS

    Mon 24 May 2021

    New Website for ADPS!

We are pleased to be able to launch our new school website. Staff have worked hard with designers to produce a site that reflects our school and its values. We are thrilled with how it looks and hope that parents, prospective parents, children, staff and the local community find it useful and helpful.

Please take time to look at the site or better still, come and visit our school.
