Internet Safety Advice
In Alexander Dickson we believe the Internet can bring many benefits to our children's learning. Just like visiting a swimming pool, or crossing the road, it can be a dangerous place, but we don't avoid those activities because of their dangers - we teach our children how to do them safely.
In school, children will be taught age-appropriate lessons on how to stay safe online. Successful online safety teaching is best done through an effective home-school partnership and we therefore ask for parental support in reinforcing, at home, online safety messages. The resources and guides below will help you to do so.
We will update this page regularly with the most up-to-date information we have.
Together, we will work hard to ensure that your child is equipped with the necessary skills and 'know-how' to be able to utilise the many benefits of the Internet in a safe, secure and responsible manner.
